Know Yourself, Know Your Worth

I was not able to create my usual Monday post this week and it really threw me off. I just got finished with my first formal recruitment for my sorority which took up all of my week. I am so blessed to have been able to participate in this amazing experience with my amazing sisters of Gamma Phi Beta. 

This wall was in California, but I had so many ideas that go with the "love" on the wall but I decided to write about loving ourselves. I actually learned a lot about that during recruitment. I learned how important it is to be yourself and loving yourself despite your flaws and what everyone thinks. We hear that a ton, and we know it is true and important, but have you ever really tried it? We all love ourselves to a certain extent, but I think it is so important to actually go the extra mile and do something to really love ourselves. For me that is learning to accept that not everyone is going to love your personality, rejection is real, but not feeling bad despite that. I have no problem loving myself, and I may actually love myself too much haha, but letting things go is my hard area. So this week I have tried to let the little things that bother me go, and that really gives me a great feeling.
