As everyone has heard, the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on and has recently opened up to the public. I wanted to share a few of my top picks for the sale which ends August 6th, but the items are definitely going fast. I recommend buying online instead of in store because the in-store selection is getting low quickly!
Keep in mind the prices are really low for a lot of these pieces so getting in your fall shopping now will pay off in the long run! I picked all of these pieces because they are ones that I would actually buy. I never want to advertise a product or piece that I do not believe in or would want to get myself. I turn down lot of offers on brands that do not go with my style or something I would actually buy. I hope this guide helps and you find something you like in the sale.
Let me know your last minute picks and what you got from the sale!
Boutiques are some of my favorite places to shop. I would rather buy from a boutique because of the unique style than to go to a store at the mall. I can get picky about my outfits so when I find a place that I really like with great pieces, I always go back. I wanted to share a few boutiques here in San Antonio, Texas that I have been to and have some great pieces!

If you live somewhere that reaches crazy high temperatures like I do, it's hard to wear what you want when you want. Comfort usually wins over fashion when you get in the summer heat. I found a few ways to look cute in the hot summer months, and if you have any tips to share leave a comment below!
Light Layers : A small crop top and a light jacket like mine do not feel like a lot when the pieces are small and closer to your body
Thin Material : This one is pretty obvious but keeping it thin will help to not retain the heat!
Light Colors : Another obvious one, but light colors will attract less heat to you instead of dark purples, navy, and blacks
Rompers and Dresses : These tend to already have lighter material and the flow of the pieces will feel good in any breeze
Accessories : Be picky about what you wear, a plain shirt will look good with a statement necklace, so skip the trendy top and mix up your shoes and your bag combo
Happy Friday!

eating chocolate covered donuts with sprinkles on top
A while back I made a post on
3 Must Try San Antonio Coffee Shops. I decided to try this again but with brunch! I loved trying new places and I think everyone should! There are a ton of great places to try that people hardly hear about but are definitely worth hearing about! Here are my favorite places to brunch in SA and what I recommend as well!
Located at the Quarry, this "A.M. eatery" has some great options! I really am not a breakfast kind of girl so I stuck with a grilled cheese with ham and some tomato soup. I was sooo good I cannot say it enough! If you like eggs, I would come here as well, there was tons to offer of eggs on the menu! My boyfriend also ordered a burrito (pictured above) but their pancakes looked so yummy and pretty as well!
The food was just as yummy as it was pretty! The menu is very extensive which makes it hard to choose but that is the best kind of problem to have! The atmosphere is so cute as well and I will definitely be going back frequently! Pictured is the Southwest Sunrise, Chicken Parmesan, and Crab cakes with fries and asparagus.
MadHatters
I am definitely a salad girl not even just to be healthy, but because I genuinely like them! I love this cute little place, definitely gave the vibe of a unique coffee house but definitely worth trying the tea and desserts!
