Boutiques are some of my favorite places to shop. I would rather buy from a boutique because of the unique style than to go to a store at the mall. I can get picky about my outfits so when I find a place that I really like with great pieces, I always go back. I wanted to share a few boutiques here in San Antonio, Texas that I have been to and have some great pieces!

If you live somewhere that reaches crazy high temperatures like I do, it's hard to wear what you want when you want. Comfort usually wins over fashion when you get in the summer heat. I found a few ways to look cute in the hot summer months, and if you have any tips to share leave a comment below!
Light Layers : A small crop top and a light jacket like mine do not feel like a lot when the pieces are small and closer to your body
Thin Material : This one is pretty obvious but keeping it thin will help to not retain the heat!
Light Colors : Another obvious one, but light colors will attract less heat to you instead of dark purples, navy, and blacks
Rompers and Dresses : These tend to already have lighter material and the flow of the pieces will feel good in any breeze
Accessories : Be picky about what you wear, a plain shirt will look good with a statement necklace, so skip the trendy top and mix up your shoes and your bag combo
Have you ever seen The Sound of Music? This post reminds me of that song that goes "These are a few of my favorite things" because I am literally telling you some of my favorites! While I am not too fond of whiskers on kittens or warm woolen mittens, I am sharing some of the little things in life that I love. I did not include any products in this post, but I definitely will be making a post soon about some of my current product faves!
Some of my favorite things to do are:
going somewhere unique like a cute coffee shop or bookstore
listening to podcasts
I like when it rains and its windy right before
having chill nights watching a movie or just hanging out with friends
going dancing
blogging
getting a fresh manicure and pedicure
&
eating chocolate covered donuts with sprinkles on top
A while back I made a post on
3 Must Try San Antonio Coffee Shops. I decided to try this again but with brunch! I loved trying new places and I think everyone should! There are a ton of great places to try that people hardly hear about but are definitely worth hearing about! Here are my favorite places to brunch in SA and what I recommend as well!
Located at the Quarry, this "A.M. eatery" has some great options! I really am not a breakfast kind of girl so I stuck with a grilled cheese with ham and some tomato soup. I was sooo good I cannot say it enough! If you like eggs, I would come here as well, there was tons to offer of eggs on the menu! My boyfriend also ordered a burrito (pictured above) but their pancakes looked so yummy and pretty as well!
The food was just as yummy as it was pretty! The menu is very extensive which makes it hard to choose but that is the best kind of problem to have! The atmosphere is so cute as well and I will definitely be going back frequently! Pictured is the Southwest Sunrise, Chicken Parmesan, and Crab cakes with fries and asparagus.

I am definitely a salad girl not even just to be healthy, but because I genuinely like them! I love this cute little place, definitely gave the vibe of a unique coffee house but definitely worth trying the tea and desserts!
A few other places:
The way that I am as a person, I like to have goals to set and I like to see them get done! I have lists for dayssss everywhere that I am, from my phone to my desk to even my mirror! I wanted to share a few of my summer goals that I like to set, these are a little more fun of course and I have had these set since before summer break even began!
1. Spend time with my friends from home : I am always in San Marcos during the school year, so for summer I want to get to hang out with my friends from San Antonio more often
2. Go strawberry picking : Or any fruit in general. I've had this planned since last summer when Josh and I found a place to go strawberry picking near San Antonio!
3. Workout 4-5 times a week : I'm hoping this works out... haha works out. Okay I'm done trying to be funny.
4. Shop at Whole Foods : There is not a whole foods in San Marcos. Eating healthy just really makes me feel healthy! So I guess the real goal would be eating right!
5. Read and Listen to Podcasts : I love reading when the book is really good. Podcasts however are my new addiction! When you find the right one I can listen to episodes all day!
6. Spend more time Outside : I do not prefer to be outside in all honesty. But hiking and swimming are two fun things I like to do. It is just so hot in Texas! This will be a hard goal tbh.
This is my last blog post of Spain... womp womp! I'm so sad to see it go, but I am so happy that I will be back in an airplane in another month! I loved this trip and I am so happy I get to share all of my experience through the blog!
While I admit I am not the most amazing blogger, there are a ton of tips and tricks I have learned along the way. To be honest I am not ready to share a lot of those because that gives my blog a little edge, but there are a few basic things I would tell any girl who wants to start a blog. I honestly have had a few girls come to me and ask how to start a blog, and while I always want to be helpful, it took me a while to learn the things I did and while this hobby is pretty fun, I would want them to be more serious about it before I fully help them.
Some things to keep in mind:
1. Time : this biggest one honestly because you need the time to shoot for a post, edit the pictures, come up with what it will be about, write it out, and set a schedule. Being consistent is a huge key to being a good blogger!
2. Creativity : I honestly lack creativity! I like to copy a lot of different girls and just try to keep with my personal aesthetic which is honestly just to add color to my blog. Keeping up with creative content makes people want to keep seeing what you have to share.
3. Money : Okay this isn't a necessity, but if you are a fashion blogger, keeping up with trends is a necessity! I have a few pieces in my closet that I have not worn since making a post. When I buy new pieces though I get them not just for the blog, but also because I would love to wear them and I am feeding my online shopping addiction. Buying a few new pieces every month is a must for new content!
4. Drive : You have to keep going and not give up. So many bloggers just fade out and start up without keeping up with it. While that is good for bloggers like me who stick with it, it is not how to go about blogging! Also I am very Type A so getting things done and being methodical about it is just in my personality. This helps me, but definitely keep going and push through the bloggers block!
This was definitely one of my favorite posts to shoot while in Spain. When I shoot for a post, I usually try to walk around a certain area and find a place that interests me or I think would look good. I do not always have a set plan or place to shoot, just an outfit and a camera.
I loved shooting on this day because we were just walking around Madrid and we found so many colorful accents around the city that worked well! Flowers are my favorite and I cannot resist, and balloons on a bike? How much cuter can you get?!
Let's talk about this outfit real quick, I have been wanting this shirt from Madewell for what seems like forever! I saw Sydney Bass (Jessie James Decker's sister) with a similar one and I fell in love! I searched the internet, as any girl would do when they find something they love, and found this one. I fell in love with the front tie, and the back can tie as well. These shorts did not look great with the back tie but I would tie the back next time I wear it.
This shirt is SO comfortable it is insane. I love how loose fitting it is and how light the material is. It is definitely a must have for summer!
